Living together: are we sharing isolated problems or ongoing challenges?
These are the themes we will reflect upon and discuss at the Bible Festival 9th edition, which will be held on September 14-15, 2018.
What does living together mean? How can we anticipate and grasp ties and relationships? Do our individual qualities meet with community life necessities? Is this at stake in this current era? Is living together being magnified or eased off by individualism and communitarianism?
In our society, we all belong and evolve in different groups as youths, seniors, indigenous, migrants, believers, atheists, disabled, manually or intellectually driven beings…
How can we ground ourselves solidly, as opposed to dogmatically?
Find these thoughts interesting?
Then join us for the duration of an evening and a day, to hear several seasoned speakers shed the light on how the Bible can inspire us on the subject, so that we can face the many challenges brought by living together.
Three major plenary conferences and several workshops will be held so that participants can go deeper into specific themes over Q&A, text studies and moments of sharing. Moreover, the three round table participants will discuss the many aspects of living together in Quebec from cultural, societal and biblical standpoints.
This event will conclude on Saturday with a creative fundraising dinner during which we will be reminded of how to “Live Together” and “Taste the Eternal”.
The full program will soon be disclosed!
Please take note that this event will be held in French only.
